To get good insight into the generation of electricity Power Plant Engineering by C. Elanchezhian is a good start. The book has been designed for B.E. and B.Tech mechanical engineering student. Power plant engineering does also prove to be a precious resource for practicioners of engineering and teaching in fields relating to power plants. The book provides at present all the important information about the various types of power plants like steam power plants, nuclear power plants and even hydel power plants, diesel and gas turbine power plants, geothermal plants, and solar power plants. Some key elements are that each chapter is accomplished with solved problems. The text of the book has been supplemented with illustrated diagrams, tables, flow charts, and graphs where it is a requirement for clear understanding by the students.
